Creative Destruction 2015-Present

This series combines digital and analogue methods while talking about modernization. The photos I am using are old analogue photos found in the digital archives of cities. They all take place between 1900 and 1916 a time of rapid modernization much like our time 100 years later. The prints are made digitally then physically the chemical layers of the photo are stripped away to reveal the un-tapped chemicals latent within the paper. It come across as a veiling or partial erasure of the past.

Thanks for the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council for helping to support this project
